D’Appolonia S.p.A. is a major Italian firm which provides integrated engineering services to clients belonging both to the public and the private sector in the energy, environment, construction, oil and gas, transport, electronics and telecommunications domains. Most of the staff has an extended academic and technical background with post-graduate degrees. Their skills are related to risk, reliability and safety, chemical and process engineering, civil and structural engineering, earth sciences and geotechnical engineering, hydrology and hydraulic engineering, transportation systems, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering and science, electronics and telecommunications, aerospace and aeronautics. Since its foundation, D’Appolonia has participated in more than 20,000 projects worldwide, including most of European countries, United States, Eastern Europe and CIS countries, Northern and West Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, Central and Southern America, and Asia. D’Appolonia S.p.A. services are oriented to help the Client with production/operation problems including prevention and mitigation of Major Hazards, Safety and HSE Engineering Maintenance Costs, Working Environment, Indoor Environmental Pollution, HSE and Safety Training, Reliability and Maintainability, and Process Efficiency. Based on the qualifications and experience, D’Appolonia is well qualified to provide HSE, Safety, Occupational Health Engineering and RAM consulting and scientific services for Oil & Gas (upstream and downstream), Process, Manufacturing and Petrochemical Industry-related projects. D’Appolonia has also gained wide experience in Research and Technological Development projects, funded both by private industry and by the European Commission under FP5, FP6 and FP7. In European research, D’Appolonia has been leading many initiatives since the FP5, having acquired extensive experience in coordinating EC-funded projects, including large as well as small-scale Collaborative Projects.
